Made from solid hardwood timber, bench hooks are flat panels of timber with a thin secondary length of timber, or fence, secured to shorter edge. The fences are secure on opposing sides of the panel.

The style of the fences can vary depending need. Some fences are foreshortened to allow for left or right handed cutting. Some can also include perpendicular or mitre cuts.
